A cosy Bothy for small groups

Glenbeg Bothy is a converted steading offering snug, cosy accommodation across a single floor. It’s designed as a simple, self-contained base for small adult groups who want to cook, relax and spend time together in the Highlands.

The sleeping area is one bunkroom with three bunk beds, and the property includes a bathroom and a kitchen/dining space set up for self-catering.

Check-in is after 15:00 on arrival day, and check-out is before 10:00 on departure day.

The Bothy is located at Glenbeg, just outside Grantown-on-Spey (approximately a 10-minute drive from our activity centre or Grantown town centre).

  • Local taxi companies are available if you’d like to head out one evening.
  • The final 500m of the access road is a farm track and may be challenging in snow or ice.
  • If conditions are poor, we’ll keep you informed and help you arrive safely.

Winter arrival note

In winter weather the final 500m track can be affected by snow and ice. If we think access could be difficult, we’ll get in touch with advice before you travel.

How many people can the Bothy sleep?

The Bothy sleeps up to 6 people with three bunk beds in one room.

What bedding is provided, and what do we need to bring?

Bedsheets and pillows are provided. You’ll need to bring a duvet or sleeping bag and your own towels. Optional bedding packs are available at £6 per person.

What deposits are required?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your dates. A ÂŁ100 cleaning deposit is also required at booking and is refundable if the Bothy is left clean and tidy.

Yes — if you’d like to add activities during your stay, we’d love to help. Let us know and we’ll recommend options that suit your group.
