Golf for larger groups & events

Planning a group day, celebration or corporate event? Our course can be booked for larger groups and private hire.

It’s a fun, low-pressure venue where you can mix golf, foot golf or frisbee golf with time in our licensed clubhouse bar. The clubhouse and surrounding outdoor space make a wonderful spot for events, and we can help you arrange catering to keep your planning simple.

Golf works brilliantly alongside other activities on site – such as canoeing, archery, BattleZone or Mini Highland Games – as a gentle warm-up, wind-down or filler activity.

Golf – quick FAQs

The questions we’re most often asked about playing golf, foot golf and frisbee golf at Cairngorms Activities.

Do I need golf experience?

No. All of our golf options are designed to be informal and accessible. Total beginners, rusty players and mixed-ability groups are all welcome.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. Families and younger players are very welcome. We find foot golf and frisbee golf are particularly popular with children and teens, and under 6s go free when playing with an adult.

Do we need to book in advance?

You can drop in and pay & play when the course is open, using the QR code at the clubhouse. However, we recommend pre-booking online for groups or at busy times to avoid disappointment.

Can I play today?

Yes – if the course is open, you can follow our simple pay & play steps:

1. Arrive on site and scan the QR code at the entrance of the clubhouse.

2. Complete the online form, choosing your group size and type of golf.

3. Complete the payment screen to confirm your activity.

4. You’ll receive an email with everything you need to unlock your equipment and enjoy your round.

Is equipment provided?

Yes. We provide footballs, frisbees/discs and scorecards as needed. For golf, you’re welcome to bring your own clubs, or we can supply a putter, wedge and balls for hire.

How long does a round take?

Most groups allow around 60–90 minutes for a round, depending on the activity and how leisurely you want to play. You can move at your own pace.

What should we wear?

Comfortable outdoor clothing and trainers are ideal. There’s no dress code – just dress for the Scottish weather and being active outside.

Can some people play while others just watch?

Absolutely. The course works well for mixed groups – some people can play while others walk, spectate, take photos or relax near the clubhouse. It’s a great option when not everyone wants a full-on activity.
