Ready to settle some scores? BattleZone is our outdoor laser tag arena where kids, teens and adults can go head-to-head in fast, friendly missions – without paintball bruises or sore shins.
Using full-sized model taggers with infrared, wireless technology, epic sound effects and vibrating haptic feedback, BattleZone feels like stepping into your favourite video game – only you’re sprinting around the Cairngorms instead of sitting on the sofa. Unlimited ammo means more time playing and less time reloading.
We’re based in Grantown-on-Spey, just a 15-minute drive from Aviemore. On site you’ll also find our café (open at weekends through spring and summer) plus a brilliant Footgolf and Frisbee Golf course, so you can make a full day of it.
Join one of our open sessions and play alongside similar families and small groups, or book BattleZone exclusively for a team day, youth group or party. However you choose to play, it’s the perfect way to burn off energy together in the fresh Highland air.

BattleZone Open Sessions
Open Sessions are a great way for families and small groups to join the action together. We bring together players and run a series of short, instructor-led games in a safe, friendly outdoor setting.
Using full-sized laser tag equipment (no paintballs, no mess, no bruises), you’ll take part in fast-paced missions focused on teamwork, strategy and plenty of laughs.
Open sessions usually run at weekends and during school holidays and are ideal if you’re visiting as a family or small group.

BattleZone is great for the big kids too and is the perfect, immersive experience for adult groups looking for some high-octane fun. Unlike paintball, you'll come away bruise-free, and multi-scenario games tailored to adults keep everyone involved throughout. The questions we’re most often asked before booking BattleZone in the Cairngorms.
Where are you based?
We’re based just outside Grantown-on-Spey, around 15 minutes from Aviemore, on the doorstep of the Cairngorms National Park. Full joining details and directions are sent with your booking confirmation.
Who is BattleZone suitable for?
BattleZone works brilliantly for families, kids’ parties, youth groups, adult groups and business teams. Sessions are adapted to suit the group, and children, teens and adults can all play together.
Will our group play on our own?
For open sessions, we often bring together similar families, small groups and parties to create bigger, more exciting games. If you’d prefer BattleZone just for your own group, you can make a group enquiry and we’ll look at exclusive session options.
Can you run sessions on demand for groups?
Yes. For groups, parties and teams we can often arrange BattleZone sessions outside our standard times, subject to availability. Please use our group enquiry form to let us know your preferred date, time and group size.
Does it hurt like paintball?
No. BattleZone uses infrared laser taggers, not paintballs, so there are no bruises and no stings. You’ll feel sound and vibration feedback when you’re hit, but nothing painful.
What should we wear?
Dress for active outdoor play with comfortable layers and sturdy closed-toe shoes or trainers. Darker colours can help you blend into the arena, and a light waterproof is useful on damp days.
What else can we do on site?
You can combine BattleZone with our Footgolf and Frisbee Golf course, or relax in the Clubhouse café when it’s open at weekends through spring and summer. Many groups make a full day of their visit.
How do we book BattleZone?
Families and smaller groups can check live availability and book online. For larger groups, parties or corporate bookings, please use our group enquiry form so we can help plan the best session format for your group.
