Planning a childrenâs birthday party at home can be stressful â and messy! Booking with Cairngorms Activities means the kids get all the fun, and you donât have to worry about entertaining everyone or tidying up afterwards.
Our outdoor kidsâ parties mean you can relax while we take care of the fun. Your children will be in the capable hands of our experienced instructors, leaving you to enjoy our stunning surroundings and snap some photos.

Helpful information for planning your childâs party with Cairngorms Activities.
What age are your kids parties suitable for?
Most of our kids party activities are suitable for children aged 8 years and over. Some activities may have additional height or size requirements. When you enquire, tell us the ages of the group and weâll recommend the best options.
Do we need to complete waivers?
Yes. For safety and insurance reasons, every participating child needs a completed waiver from a parent or legal guardian before the activity starts. Weâll send you a link to our online waiver which you can share with other parents. Getting these done in advance keeps everything smooth on the day.
Can we bring cake and food?
Absolutely! Youâre very welcome to bring a birthday cake and snacks. We can provide space for you to sing happy birthday, do candles and serve cake after the activity. You can also add party food for ÂŁ10 per child â just mention this when you get in touch.
Is there parking and toilets on site?
Yes, there is parking on site and youâll receive clear joining instructions with your booking confirmation. We also have toilets and hand-washing facilities available for party groups.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We run outdoor activities in most weather conditions â a bit of Scottish weather is all part of the adventure! Please make sure children are dressed appropriately. In the case of extreme weather where it wouldnât be safe or sensible to run, weâll contact you to discuss options such as adapting the session or rescheduling.
What if my numbers change?
We know party numbers can shift as RSVPs come in. Just keep us updated and weâll do our best to accommodate changes. Weâll confirm final numbers with you ahead of the party date. Extra spaces may be possible if we have availability.

Thanks to all the team at Cairngorms Activities for helping to organise and lead our child's birthday celebration with his friends. Parents of the children we had in our party have shared their child's news about how much fun they had. Thanks to our group leader for taking charge of our party and allowing the adults to relax and enjoy the experience.

Cairngorms Activities provided an excellent bushcraft birthday party for my 8-year-old daughter and nine friends. The group had non-stop fun for a whole hour and a half, with lessons on seasonal wild foods (some tasted better than others), a blindfolded walk, shelter building, fire lighting with marshmallow toasting and an excellent treasure hunt! The staff were very warm and welcoming and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Many of the girls said it was the best birthday party ever and wanted to come back!
